The club has around 170 members and can boast many World, European, UK and Nationals champions both past and present. In the UK, there are two dedicated field archery associations: National Field Archery Society (NFAS) and English Field Archery Association (EFAA, which is affiliated to the IFAA). The club is affiliated to the English Field Archery Association the national governing body of the IFAA who outline the details of a 14 target round which is shot twice, we have two units of 14 forming a full 28 target course. The target is the clout, which is a small flag on a vertical stick, stuck in the ground and placed up to 160 metres away.
